Welcome To Braggs,

Muskogee Co., Oklahoma

Founded 1888

Braggs is a little community southeast of Muskogee,

Oklahoma on the eastern side of the Arkansas River.

My name is Dede Aday MacDonald and the photo above was made by my son,

Lance MacDonald, age 17.  It is a combination of family photos and right in

The middle are my grandparents, Francis Scott Paris and

Dora “Josie” Josephine Hixson Paris.

A lot of my roots are in Braggs and I still have relatives that live there.

My mother, Madge Samantha Paris was born in Braggs as was her mother.

My hope is to put together little pieces of Braggs to make one big site where

present and former residents and their descendants will have a  place to go to

relive a bygone era. And, also to share photos and memories.  If you have any

photos or other memorabilia to share, just drop me and email.  Please share your

memories with me.

There will be changes to this site as there was to the last one I did,

but this one will be easier for me to maintain.  So, sit back and enjoy the

show!  Oh, and please sign my guest book and/or drop me an email.

I would be proud to hear from you.

My family names from Braggs: Beatty, Fryar, Hixson, Howard, Kirk, and Paris.

These links do work.  For some strange reason the little hand doesn’t come up

over the link.  Just click on the button and you will be taken to that link.  Also,

please allow time for the page to load.  Thank you for your understanding.

The grass fades

The flower falls,

But the word of our God,

Stands forever…
